This site is located in the protected area with shallow water around 5 to 10 meters depth. Lembongan Bay offers you soft and hard corals. The coral consists of many fishes. This is the best place to dive for amateur who still learning to dive and snorkel.

Gamat Bay
The distance of this spot is not too far from Toyapakeh diving spot. The water is so clear with steep corals and the hills direct to the strait. Even, Gamat becomes one of the best sites in Nusa Penida because you don’t need to drift diving too much. You can explore small caves and rifts to find colorful fishes and other marine life.

Manta Point
When you dive in Manta Point, you may meet 3 to 4 manta exploring this area. The spot just like underwater slope with 50 meters depth. There is no rock here because the area is fulfilled by limestone. Besides manta, you also can swim together with mackerel and tuna.

Malibu Point
Malibu Point is also popular for divers from around the world because in this spot, you can meet tuna, runner rainbow, reef sharks and stingrays. The visibility is clear around 20 meters. Divers will love to dive here because there are some flat corals.

Toyapakeh
Toyapakeh is nominated as the most beautiful diving spots in Nusa Penida because the area is protected from waves and current of water. Although the current of water is strong but it still can be tolerated. You will find blue trigger fishes and sharks in several spots near Pontoon. The shallow spots are good to snorkel. The visibility is around 30 meters with clear water.

Crystal Bay
When you dive in Crystal Bay, you will find an underwater cave system starting from 10 meters depth. It will be end inside a hole that becomes a home for bats. This spot lies at beautiful lagoon with white sand. If underwater current is calm, divers will be able to enjoy the scenery of marine life. Even, you may see nurse sharks and sunfish hiding behind the rocks.

SD Point
The current water of SD Point is strong and sometimes you can meet sharks and sunfish. This spot is suitable to a diver who is looking challenging adventure. You will enjoy the scenery of underwater life because the visibility is around 20 meters.

Sekumpul Waterfall, A Hidden Waterfall In North Bali

What is Sekumpul Waterfall
According to the name, Sekumpul Waterfall has 7 series of waterfalls and local people name it as Pemuatan Waterfall. Location of Sekumpul Waterfall
Sekumpul Waterfall is situated at Sekumpul Village, Sawan sub-district, Buleleng Regency, North Bali. The location is around 20 km from Singaraja City (it takes around 1 hour), 76 km from Denpasar which is can be reach around 2.5 hours and 3 hours from Kuta. Because of the location is far, you are suggested to drive a motorcycle or rent a car with a driver. 

If you want to visit Sekumpul Waterfall and trekking, you can go there in the morning. The perfect time is around 07.00 – 08.00. You may curious to know why you have to go there so early. The reason is because the opportunity to get rain in the morning is lower than evening. If you are unlucky and meet the rain, the access will be slippery and you have to be more careful. Now you can estimate at what time you have to start your journey from Denpasar or Singaraja City.

However, you don’t want to get up so early in the morning, you can stay overnight at Hotel Omunity Sujadi Bali. Then, you can start trekking to Sekumpul Waterfall from there in the next day. If you start you travel from Omunity Hotel, you have to prepare a motorcycle first. The distance is around 4 km. The access to the waterfall is steep and serpentine. Journey to Sekumpul Waterfall
To come closer to the waterfall, you must have a good stamina because you need to walk through the footpath for about 300 meters, descending hundred of steep stairs and crossing the river with the depth around 0.5 meter. However, the rural atmosphere, activities of the farmer, paddy terrace, greenish hill, resident houses with traditional shape, durian and rambutan tree will accompany you.

The journey of trekking really exhausthing but it is worth because you will see the twin waterfall with the height around 100 meters. The pounding of water from Sekumpul Waterfall can be heard from the distance around 80 meter and the sprinkle of water create quiet atmosphere. Suddenly, you will fall in love and want to explore this area.

Trunyan Village, Witnessing the Dead Bodies on the Ground

Trunyan Village is one of traditional village in Bali and belong to Bali Age category or Old Bali. The village has different tradition than other daily life in Bali. Resident in Trunyan Village dont undergo Ngaben (burning the dead body) as common funeral in Bali. After cleaning ritual, the dead body will be put under Taru Menyan tree, only covered by pieces of bamboo. Taru Menyan tree itself is an aromatic tree and people believe that the tree spreads fragrant to absorb the smell of dead body. Amazing!

Location and transportation to Trunyan Village
Trunyan Village is located at Kintamani sub-district, Bangli Regency, Bali, precisely at the east of Batur Lake and close to Mount Batur. The village can be reached easily by boat through Trunyan Village which is take around 15 minutes. 

You must have braveness to bargain the cost of the boat, or the owner of the boat will take higher prices. Usually they will charge around IDR350k per couple. If they insist you, you can wait other passenger so that you can go to Trunyan Village together. It will be cheaper for all.

Times to explore Trunyan Village
At the end, you will be arrive at Trunyan Village. To reach the area of grave, you still have to continue the journey by taking a boat. It will take around 15 minutes while you enjoy the calmness of Batur Lake. As you arrive at the grave’s complex, you will see there is a place with concave shape. Entering to inside the grave, you will be welcomed by 2 temples with the stretch of skulls and a place to put coin for travelers.

If you walk further, you can see a big tree named as Taru Menyan which is mean as a fragrant tree. They say, the tree becomes the reason why the dead bodies here don't have odor because it can neutralize the stench odor. 

Next, you can see the stretch of whole skeleton. Be careful when you walk and look down, or you will step  the part of body’s skeleton. If you are lucky, you will see a new dead body laying on the ground. You may curious is there any possibility for animal to destroy the dead body? Well actually people in Trunyan Village protect the grave from wild animal by giving a protector made from bamboo (called as ancak saji) around the dead body. 

The fact is only married person with normal condition who is allowed to be buried there. Plus, a baby which have had broken milk teeth. People who died because of accident, they will be buried at different place, called as Seme Cerik. They say, one who did something bad during the life, the dead body will take longer time to be decomposed. But, the procession of decomposition of good people will be faster.

Probably, the popularity of Trunyan Village is because the dead body in the grave has no odor although there are countless skeletons. The secret is the presence of  Taru Menyan Tree. That is why people from all around the world curious to know and want to witness them self.

Ritual of funeral
The ritual of funeral has to be done on a good day. Starting from making ancak saji, preparation of offering and clothes for the dead body, till the process of funeral. To lay a new dead body, the oldest skeleton inside the ancak saji will be taken and will be put together with other skeleton at the left of ancak saji. 

After the cleaning process done, the new dead body will be laid without clothes, just covered by a dress . Then, people protect it back with ancak saji. All of the ritual has to be done in a day. Woman who is originally from Trunyan Village is not allowed to come around the grave because people believe that the village will get disaster. But, non villager from Trunyan is allowed to see the uniqueness of grave.

Tanah Lot is one of icon tourism in Bali. Tanah Lot is located at Beraban Village, Kediri Sub-district, Tabanan Regency, Bali or around 13 km at the west of Tabanan City. If you start your journey from Denpasar or Kuta, it takes around 1 hour by driving a  ar. To reach the temple, you need to park your vehicle and walk for 200 meter or just five minutes.

Activities

The left side is the temple in Tanah Lot and the right side is Karang Bolong. 
Karang Bolong itself is the stretches of rocks with the holes in the middle. Besides that, you will see the stretches of ocean and the cliffs. It is one of amazing panorama in Tanah Lot, because it is so fantastic. If you want to get the temple as the background of your pictures, you can go up to the rocks.
After you satisfy having some incredible pictures, you can go back to the area of temple in Tanah Lot. One thing you must remember, if the tide is high, you are not allowed to enter to the temple, except for those who want to pray.
Actually, around the temple there is a cave that is occupied by sea snakes that is well-known as sacred snakes. According to local residents, they believe if these snakes are the keeper of the temple in Tanah Lot. The snakes itself has stripe colors, i.e. black and white with flat shape. If you want to hold them, you can do it because they are not dangerous. Believe it or not, as you hold it, just make a wish in your heart. This is what local residents say to the tourists.
Besides having sacred snakes, the temple in Tanah Lot also has sacred water, like spring water that come out from the middle of the ocean. The water flows inside to the cave under the temple.
