Location
Werur Beach is situated in
Werur Village, Sausapor District, Tambraw Regency, West Papua Province. Tambraw
Regency is the expansion of Sorong Regency in 2008. To reach the beach, it
takes really hard work. The access to the village is quite difficult because
you can only go there through sea route. There are only small pioneer boat that
pass by once a week. The pioneer boat sails from Sorong - Werur
- Wor - Saubeba - Wau - Waiben - Enbuan - Saokorem - Manokwari and vice versa. You only need to pay for Rp50,000
(US$5.00) for one trip.
You
must buy the ticket a day before your departure. It’s quite bothering, but
that’s what you have to do. You must
find information about when the boat will depart before you go. When the boat
passes by Werur Village, you can get off. There will be a local villager who
will pick you up at the port and help you bring your luggage. You need to pay
for this service about Rp20,000 to Rp50,000 (US$2.00 to US$5.00).
