Location
Ria Beach is situated in Ria Hamlet,
Riwo Village, Woja District, Dompu Regency, Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara. The
distance from the downtown is about 18 kilometers. It will take about an hour
driving from the downtown to the beach. However, if you are in Mataram, it will
take longer time to reach the beach. You have to go through Kayangan Port in
East Lombok from Mataram. It will take about two hours. Then, you must cross the strait
towards Poto Tano Port in Sumbawa for about two hours as well. From the port,
you can continue your journey toward Dompu Regency. From here, you can directly
go to the beach. The long journey is not a waste since the beach is so
beautiful. You can immediately take a rest and feel the breeze of the sea
water.
Activities
Once you have arrived at Ria Beach,
you can do many things. The beach is managed professionally, hence you must pay
for the entrance fee before you enter the beach. You must pay for Rp5,000 for
adults and Rp3,000 for kids. It is less than one US dollar, but you can enjoy a
panoramic view just with that little amount of money. The beach is not too
crowded, so you can feel the calm and peaceful atmosphere. If you want more
challenging activity, you can go to Doro Belanda areas. These are cliffs
suitable for fishing activity. Fish in Doro Belanda are various and delicious
when cooked. However, you must be careful since the waves are not too friendly.
The waves are sometimes so strong that they are very dangerous, especially for
kids. You must always be aware of the waves when fishing, and don’t take
children in these areas. It is very dangerous for them.

Beach, including toilet and small huts along the beach. You can wash yourself
