Location
Rote Island is situated
in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
The island is part of the lesser Sunda Islands. It is situated about 500 km of
the northeast of Australian coast. You
can reach the island by boat from Larantuka in Flores or from Kupang in Timor.
It take about one hour and a half by speed ferry, and 4 to 5 hours by regular
ferry. The two ferries leave from different harbors, however they have the same destinations, i.e. Pantai Baru at Rote
Island. When you arrive at the island, you will not find many transportations. There are only bemos which
will take you around the island. You will have to pay about Rp15,000 to
Rp50,000 to get around the island.

can do when you visit Rote Island. You
can have a great adventure in this island. Getting around an learn many things
