Location
When you see the map of Bali, you will see that this beach is situated on the north-eastern
tip of Bali. From Ngurah Rai International Airport, it takes about two hours
towards this beach. Once you have been in Ngurah Rai, you can take a taxi from
the airport for about Rp 400,000 ($42.00).
You can also take a bus from the
airport. Shuttle buses serve also serve various destinations through Amed, like
Candidasa or Padang Bai to Tirtanggana, Tulamben and Amed. The cost for Amed
destination is only about Rp125,000 ($13.00) for two persons. All the shuttle
buses are operated by Perama. The departure of the bus is 9.30 a.m & 2 p.m,
while it returns at 11 a.m.
Getting Around the
Beach
When you decide to
visit Amed Beach, you will find many unique public transportations. One of the
unique public transportations is bemos (mini buses). The bemos play an
important role as a means of transportation around the beach. This is because
public transportations around the beach are rare. The bemos serve some
destinations, including to Amed from Culik.
Most of the bemos only operates in
the morning. Later in the beach, it’s very difficult for you
to find any public transportations. However, you don’t have to worry. There is
one easy way for you to get around the beach. You can hire a car along with the
driver. Otherwise, you can rent motorcycles for only about Rp 50,000-80,000
($5.00-8.00) per day.
An Incredible

the best snorkeling destinations in Bali. You can try snorkeling when you come
